The O.P. Terra di Bari is strongly convinced that quality means guarantee of the best performance, in terms of product properties (caliber, sugar content, size) and safety for customers. The processing takes place in respect of etic, social and environmental values.

The O.P. Terra di Bari features are quality and quality control for all kind of products and in every stage of the process.

The respect of sanitary regulation is safeguarded during the whole production process, from farming to harvest, during processing and transport. Whenever they want, our customers can check the origin and the results of multiresidual tests on products.

We want to make producers aware of careful use of plant protection products and offer to final customer a guarantee of the purchase.

Production cicle

Production: follows the G.A.P., opt. 2 GlobalGAP certificated and the Disciplinary of Integrated Defence of Apulia; the whole production is managed by a technician who checks the production stages every week. When fruit start maturing, the technical area manager and the supply manager plan the harvest times according to times of phytomedical substances lack and market demand;

Supplying: according to an interior sampling plan, there are some examinations in order to check antiparastic levels on the own production. All the products coming from external suppliers are checked in every batch and providers are estimated according to an internal questionnaire;

Cecking: multiresidual tests are put into effect from SINAL and QS laboratories (according to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025) and being part of the “ring test” system;

Pre-harvest: verify the conformity of the grapes following the properties of the product (bunch dimension, sugar level, colour, lack of alteration of any kind);

Harvest: the workers are informed about the GMP, following the HACCP;

Quality check in entrance: further conformity checking of product and packing;

Quality check in clearance: checking of product according to customer request;

Traceability: the whole production in traceable from the beginning to the ending of the production through identification labels placed on the pack, identifying the packing site.

In 2012, the company started and set an important goal in refrigeration industry.

The fresh harvested product is chilled in special rooms and through a computerized system the bacterial charge is destroyed up to 60%.
This means a better shelf life of product, ever at the top of quality.
